Triple Trouble Trio
..... the other kind of swing trio!
Triple Trouble Trio, that’s the three young and talented musicians Tim de Haan (guitar), David Nagy (guitar) and Stefan Schlenke (bass). Their good ensemble, their originality and virtuosity is sensational.
The trio was founded in 2007 by Tin de Haan, Stefan Schlenke and Sebastian Funke, when they studied at the Artez conservatorium in Enschede. They took on the challenge of distinguishing themselves from others and their quest led them to the gypsy swing style.
This swing style is played with percussive acoustic guitar accompaniment and virtuoso acoustic guitar solos.
The ensemble started as a study project, but after a number of successful concerts the three musicians decided to dedicate themselves exclusively to gypsy swing and to continue working as a trio. They developed their own style by mixing gypsy swing with rock and pop music, the music that forms their musical roots.
Traditional gypsy swing , pop-arrangements, blues, bossa and Spanish influences is what you can hear by listening to Triple Trouble Trios music. They can fill the audience with enthusiasm, with swinging music, interesting and varied repertoire and humor.
After Sebastian Funke unfortunately had to leave the trio for personal reasons, Tim and Stefan went to search for a successor. After a few auditions David Nagy joined the trio.
David made it in a short time to get familiar with the repertoire and played by the first live concert.
This made clear that he’s more than just a worthy successor. The native Hungarian brings his own character into the music and makes the trio writing own songs from now on.
The Triple Trouble Trio gives enchanting live performances, offering a varied programme, including their own interpretations of traditional (gypsy)swing standards, pop songs and pieces by their own hand.
